The Blackeye Rugby Fund exists to support the people who have given everything to this game — on the pitch, on the sidelines, and long after the final whistle.
Our mission
Rugby gives players, coaches and communities a lifetime of experiences. It also asks a lot of the body and mind in return. The Blackeye Rugby Fund was created to make sure that when the game asks something of its people, there's support there to give something back — funded, in part, by every bottle of Blackeye sold.

Funding medical research that helps make rugby safer at every level, from grassroots to professional.

Supporting initiatives that reduce risk of injury and protect long-term player welfare, before harm happens.

Recovery
Helping current and former players — professional and amateur — recover from injury and rebuild after their playing days end, physically and mentally.
Who we support
The Fund is there for current or former rugby players, coaches and administrators who've fallen into ill health, physical or mental, or who are living with the consequences of a serious injury — regardless of how or when that injury happened. Support to date has included players such as Lewis Moody, Ed Slater and Matt Hampson.

The ambition
Backed by an advisory board and some of the biggest names in rugby globally, the Fund's goal is to invest £1 million a year into player welfare — becoming one of the largest donors to rugby-related causes within five years.
